The Troy area is a recreational paradise rich in parks, fields, a golf course and many nature trails. Troy is host to softball, soccer, football, basketball, hockey, the American Legion baseball tournaments and many other sports.

Finally, Troy is home to the Troy Bruins Hockey Club which is a junior “A” league program. The Bruins play at Troy’s Hobart Arena, a 5,000 seat facility that is home to not only hockey, but also hosts national figure skating events as well as basketball games and major concert tours.

Twenty-six colleges and universities are located within one hour’s drive, many of which are major division with complete athletic programs for both men and women.

At the professional level the Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds baseball are within an hours drive as is the Columbus Blue Jacket Hockey Team. On the minor league level the Dayton Dragons and the Columbus Clippers are both a short drive from Troy.
